When you create a CookieScript account, you’ll receive a short confirmation email with a link inside it. You need to click that link to finish signing up.
Most people get the email right away, but sometimes it doesn’t show up, or it ends up somewhere strange. A few things are worth checking before you try again.
Did you type your email correctly?
This is the one that catches more people than you’d expect. Sometimes it’s just a single letter off — or someone types “gmial” instead of “gmail” (happens more often than you’d think). If you’re even a little unsure, it’s usually easiest to redo the signup and re-enter the address carefully.
Check Spam, Junk, or any “other” folder your provider likes to invent
Email services have their own ideas about what looks “suspicious,” and automated messages occasionally get thrown into Spam or Junk. Some accounts even have a Promotions or Updates folder that you never notice until something lands there.
If the confirmation email is hiding in one of those spots, marking it as Not spam helps future messages land where they should.
Sometimes the inbox is just slow
Most confirmation emails arrive fast — a few seconds, usually. But every now and then there’s a delay for no obvious reason. Refresh the inbox or give it a minute. It’s not common, but it happens often enough that it’s worth mentioning.
Adding the sender to your contacts can help later
If you’ve ever missed automated emails before, adding the sender address to your contacts is a small but useful step. It basically tells your provider, “Yes, these messages are fine.”
Not mandatory, but helpful.
