You can connect your CookieScript analytics data to Google Studio and create custom reports.
Step 1: Generate your API key in CookieScript
Log in to your CookieScript account.
Go to the My Plans section.
Generate your API Key.
Copy the API Key. You will need it when setting up the connection in Studio.
Step 2: Open Data Studio
Open Google Studio.
Click Blank report.
In the window that opens, click Add data to report.
Step 3: Find the CookieScript connector
Use the search bar to search for CookieScript.
Select the CookieScript connector from the list.
Step 4: Enter the required connection details
In the Parameters section, enter the following:
API Token
Paste the API Key you copied from the My Plans section in CookieScript.
Item ID
Enter your Banner ID, which is the long hash value of your banner.
Step 5: Create the report
After entering the required details, click Create report.
Your CookieScript analytics data will then be connected to Google Studio, and you can start building your report.
Notes
The API Token is your CookieScript API Key.
The Item ID is your banner’s long hash ID.
Make sure you copy both values correctly to avoid connection errors.

How the CookieScript Data Studio Connector Works
The CookieScript Data Studio Connector enables users to visualize their CookieScript consent analytics data in Google Data Studio.
To connect, users need an API Token and Item ID, both obtained from their CookieScript account.
API Token: Used to securely authenticate requests to the CookieScript API.
Item ID: Identifies the CookieScript cookie banner from which analytics data will be retrieved.
The connector uses these credentials to retrieve cookie consent statistics, banner interactions, consent category data, and acceptance and rejection rates from the CookieScript API.
The retrieved data is then made available in Google Data Studio, allowing users to create customized dashboards and reports.
Authentication and Permissions
The connector uses CookieScript's own API authentication system. Users do not need to grant the connector access to Google Drive, Gmail, Google Sheets, or Google Analytics.
Google may request authorization to execute the connector through Google Apps Script and allow external API requests. The connector uses these capabilities to retrieve analytics data from CookieScript and provide it to Data Studio.
The connector performs read-only requests and does not modify CookieScript account settings or cookie consent records.
