How to enable Google Consent Mode?
Consent mode lets you communicate your users’ cookie or app identifier consent status to Google. Tags adjust their behavior and respect users’ choices. More on Google Consent mode from Google docs.
This video will help you to implement Google Consent Mode easily with CookieScript:
CookieScript has full integration with Google Consent Mode. To enable Google Consent Mode, go to your CookieScript user account > Settings > Behavior > Frameworks, where you will find the the GOOGLE CONSENT MODE V2 checkbox.
Simply check the checkbox, and your website will have Google Consent Mode V2 enabled. Read more on how to implement Google Consent Mode on your website.
You can also select Google Ads category, Google Analytics category, functionality category, personalization category, and security category, which will be used with your Google Consent Mode. Google consent types for Google Ads category and Google Analytics category are required, while Google consent types for other categories are optional.
For the Google Ads category, you have to select the cookies category that should allow ad_storage. The default selection: targeting cookies.
For the Google Analytics category, you have to select the cookies category that should allow analytics_storage. The default selection: performance cookies.
For the Functionality category, you have to select the cookies category that should allow functionality_storage. The default selection: functionality cookies.
For the Personalization category, you have to select the cookies category that should allow personalization_storage. The default selection: functionality cookies.
For the Security category, you have to select the cookies category that should allow security_storage. The default selection: functionality cookies.
