Enable IAB TCF 2.2

IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF) 2.2 is a framework that allows to provide targeted advertising and comply with GDPR at the same time. Read more about TCF 2.2. To enable IAB TCF 2.2, go to your CookieScript user account > Settings > Frameworks, where you will find ENABLE IAB TCF 2.2. Simply check the box to show IAB TCF 2.2 as an extra tab on your cookie banner:

While businesses are not legally required to use the TCF to comply with GDPR requirements, it does function as a set of useful guidelines that simplify the process. Otherwise, compliance can be a complex, costly, and time-consuming headache.

In 2023, the updated version of TCF (TCF v2.2) was launched. If you want to use Google’s advertisement products like Google AdSense, Ad Manager, or AdMob, you need to use TCF v2.2

CookieScript has a full IAB TCF 2.2 integration and has already become Google-certified CMP and is included in a Google’s list of Google-certified CMPs.

The TCF enables users to interface with vendors through the Consent Management Platform (CMP) publishers use. Publishers are able to choose which vendors they work with and their CMP relays that information to their users as well as the purposes their data will be used for. These purposes typically include content personalization, targeted advertising, and more.
