How to enable the Full-Page Overlay functionality and disable scrolling the website?
To increase user interaction and engagement with your cookie banner, you can enable the Full-Page Overlay functionality. The dark overlay of your web pages ensures that users engage with the cookie policy before accessing content. The website will be inactive until visitors give or decline consent.
When enabled, this functionality should increase the Accept and Reject rates of your cookie banner.
To enable the Full-Page Overlay functionality, go to your CookieScript account > Settings > Design, and check the FULL-PAGE OVERLAY checkbox:
Note: The Full-Page Overlay is enabled by default for the full-screen web page’s view mode.
The enabled Full-Page Overlay functionality also allows you to disable scrolling the website. This also helps increase the interaction with your banner since users have to Accept or Reject the banner in order to view content.
To disable scrolling, first enable the Full-Page Overlay functionality, and then check the DISABLE SCROLLING checkbox.
These functionalities are included in all pricing plans.
